Ayn Rand.....from a stroy in "The early Ayn Rand"

Don't love somebody beyond limits and consciousness....Try to have always some other goal or aim..dont love beyond your very soul....If you can.... I CAN NOT !

That reminds me...

"We are replled by weakness of any sort. We crave strength because strength facilitates success and success is believed to be key to our pursuits of happiness." These are words taken from Ira Williams' in her essay "Speak Softly". As expected she expounds on how to achieve greater personal fulfillment by relegating self-orientation to the background and focussing on enhancing the life of another.

While i am a firm believer of the "humility" she propounds here is what touched me more while i read "The Early Ayn Ran". The similar strain of objectivism thunders past, unmistakable and extremely distinct. The supreme selfishness defined as loving another.

Am so full of it that i can rave and rant... all convinced. Yet we grow up being forced to share, to always care (whether we actaully want to or not), be it siblings, class mates etc. However, somewhere down the line a certain amount of unlearning occurs, perhaps to keep the flame of 'objectivism' burning, burning bright.

To set the record straight, i don't intend to take sides. I am trying to understand what truly sets me forth, bright as a spark. What i like about Ira is that she says we need far greater strength in humility since that reflects our comfort and the futility of flauning it.

As Spiderman says "with great power comes great responsibility"...frankly am confused

To love someone beyond love itself is the ultimate gift you give yourself... For its difficult for a human to love someone more than oneself... But this statement is just a statement and rarely gets translated to reality.. because such love has to be unconditional.. but we tend to sooner or later put conditions to it... that is were.. I becomes more important than love... Its my heart which hurts n not I'm beyond and above all hurt.. its a compromise which we do with ourself.. and it is necessary because no one in our life can be our centre of existence.. yes one can be an important part of our being....
So its best to be Humane n not try to become devine...
